AGPO registration: unlocking the 30% procurement reservation

Youth, women and persons with disability qualify for a reserved share of government procurement. The registration itself is straightforward — staying eligible is not.
The Access to Government Procurement Opportunities programme reserves thirty per cent of public procurement spend for enterprises owned by youth, women or persons with disability. Registration produces a certificate that procuring entities verify directly.
Eligibility rests on ownership and management composition, and it is verified against your CR12. A shareholding change can silently disqualify you mid-contract.
You will need a valid tax compliance certificate, a business registration certificate, a CR12 for limited companies, and identification for all owners. Certificates are issued for two years and lapse without notice.
Registration is only the entry ticket. Winning requires a complete, well-formatted bid file with current statutory attachments — which is where most first-time AGPO suppliers lose.
